Hey folks
We’ve got an important update regarding how logins will work on your account. To keep things fair, secure, and sustainable for all subscribers, we will be introducing a 4-session limit per user, effective Friday, 12 December 2025.
Below is everything you need to know, including an upcoming extension of this limit to the Weather Centre software program.
Starting 12 December 2025, each account will be able to maintain up to 4 active sessions at any given time.
A “session” means an active login, and you can use your four sessions in any combination you like:
Four tabs in the same browser
Four different browsers
Four different devices (desktop, laptop, tablet, phone)
Or a mix of all of the above
If you try to log in for a fifth time, you’ll see a notification asking you to log out from one of your existing sessions.
The 4-session limit applies to the website starting 12 December 2025.
After we confirm smooth implementation and stability, we will also apply the same 4-session limit to the Weather Centre desktop software for users on:
Eyewall Pro plans, and
Weather Centre–only accounts
This second phase is planned for early January 2026.
We will send a follow-up email before that change goes live to ensure all Weather Centre users have clear notice.
If for any reason you can’t access one of your active sessions to log out, simply contact support via our website or via email. We can remotely log out all sessions for you instantly so you can start fresh.
We are contractually obligated to operate strictly as a business-to-consumer (B2C) service.
We do not provide company-wide or enterprise licensing.
When accounts show a high number of simultaneous logins, it raises compliance issues with our data partners and they in turn may cease to provide us with weather data or exhorbitantly increase our prices which we then have to pass on and that's not fair to users who are using the site for their personal or mum and dad operated businesses.
This limit helps us:
Demonstrate we are a consumer-facing product
Prevent unintended business or corporate usage, a small business who uses our knowledge/expertise is fine, a farm or a cattle station is fine. Whereas, a multi-national corporation or Australia wide corporation, or mine site, or government department using a single B2C license is NOT fine.
Maintain access to the high-quality data sources our service relies on without significantly increasing costs
We’re a small business, and password sharing has real consequences. It affects our ability to invest in the platform, deliver new features, maintain servers, and keep subscription prices stable.
This change helps ensure each membership is used as intended.
For most members — probably not.
Typical household usage fits comfortably within four sessions:
1 desktop + 1 laptop + 1 tablet + 1 phone
1 laptop + 2 mobiles + 1 tablet
4 browser sessions on one device
The limit does not restrict where you can log in from.
There is no geo-blocking, and you do not need to be at home or on a specific network.
This is purely about simultaneous logins — not location.
Four sessions is the sweet spot we found that:
Matches how most households use devices
Allows flexibility while preventing excessive sharing
Provides enough room for users who switch between browsers or machines during the day
✔ Friday, 12 December 2025
✔ Planned for early January 2026 (Eyewall Pro + Weather Centre–only members)
✔ Separate notice will be sent before this phase goes live
Our goal is to keep the service fast, secure, compliant, and fairly priced. The 4-session limit helps us do that while still giving you plenty of flexibility across your devices.
If you have questions, concerns, or need help adjusting — we’re here to support you so send an email if you need to know more.
Thank you again for being part of our community. Changes like this help ensure we can continue building the tools and products you rely on every day.
